Saint Luke Catholic School: Our Beliefs

Saint Luke Catholic School is a Catholic institution that grasps wholeheartedly the vocation we have been called to fulfill, to develop every student in all aspects of their humanity. Along with all institutions of education, we believe in our call to foster the intellectual and social components of each individual, but as a school of faith, we also strive to develop the facets of our students that make them inherently human, their spirituality, and morality. By executing the statement of beliefs below, Saint Luke Catholic School will serve as a solid foundation for our students as they face life’s many challenges and vast opportunities.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

        SPIRITUAL and MORAL DEVELOPMENT: WE BELIEVE that a satisfying future and a relationship with Christ go hand in hand.

• WE BELIEVE God to be the core of the Saint Luke’s community, and His Word and Mission are at the center of all our endeavors

• WE BELIEVE in heartily assisting the primary educators of our students, the parents, and guardians, in their effort to create responsible, successful, and honorable children of God.

• WE BELIEVE the faculty is to serve as a daily reminder of the values that encompass our Catholic faith, including devotion, morality, and charity.

• WE BELIEVE the early development of a committed relationship with Christ will encourage our students to evangelize the blessed Word of God throughout their lives.

• WE BELIEVE in the integration of religious instruction in all areas of the curriculum.

Intellectual and Social Development: WE BELIEVE that a successful future is rooted in the presence of a safe, nurturing environment and a full and challenging curriculum.  

• WE BELIEVE individual attention in the classroom allows our students to feel the invested support of the faculty as their personal needs are met and fostered.  

• WE BELIEVE an intimate classroom setting establishes an opportunity for differentiated instruction, where both the students of achievement and the students of mastery are nurtured and challenged. 

• WE BELIEVE that a daily curriculum, rich in cooperative and independent learning, builds a strong work ethic and self-discipline in every scholar of the community. 

• WE BELIEVE the presence of the Arts throughout our curriculum wholly develops our students into the confident and well-rounded individuals needed in today’s modern world. 

• WE BELIEVE a safe academic setting for our students enables our students to progress in the aspects of their humanity that we so eagerly wish to develop.

• We Believe an environment abundant in mutual respect creates a lifelong appreciation of authority as well as the fellow citizens of society. 

• WE BELIEVE the sense of family and community that permeates our halls, from K-8 grades, provides the nourishment needed to reach full potential as well as displays a daily visual of the grander world and our universal connection to one another.

In essence, WE BELIEVE that the Saint Luke’s Catholic School community forges the pathway to a bright and prosperous future for our students and provides them with the necessary tools to be contributing citizens of this nation.
